10Monet’s Pond
“Monet's Pond” in the mountains of Seki, Gifu, is a small pond next to a shrine. The view of the extremely transparent spring water and water lilies is beautiful, resembling the "water lily pond" painting painted by the French artist Claude Monet, so it is called “Monet’s Pond”and many visitors have come to see it in recent years.
When visiting, we recommend coming during the water lily peak period between late May and mid-July. There are lots of carp in the pond gracefully swimming making it feel as though you are in a painting.
